４本の棒と４枚の板からなるノックダウン構造のシェルフ。２本の棒材が棚板を貫通して「筋交い」となり、全体の構造を保つことができている。本など収納物を入れると「筋交い」の存在が消え、シェルフが２本の前脚だけ成立しているような不思議な浮遊感がうまれる。部材の厚みや太さ、脚の特徴的な構成は、ノックダウンできる棚というコンセプトから導き出されている。

The structure of the IXI Shelf is based on the knock-down concept where no glue is required to strengthen its structure. The shelf stands by itself only by intersecting four plates and four sticks together in a specific way. Especially the two sticks in the back are crossed and put together to create a robust structure.
When the objects are stored in the shelf, the cross in the back starts to be covered up which creates a surprisingly floating appearance – as if the whole shelf is only held up by the two sticks in the front.
